Unit 5 - Trigonometry Part 2 -----
Lesson 5.1
In this lesson we look at Trigonometric Identities and working through proofs. We check to make sure that the LS = RS by making substitutions for known trigonometric facts like the reciprocal trig ratios.

Formative 10
This formative looks at proving LS=RS for Trigonometric Identities.

Lesson 5.2
In this lesson, we explore what the parent graphs of Sine, Cosine and Tangent are as well as some new terminology like the equation of the axis, period, and amplitude. We will also look at the domain and range of these graphs.
Lesson 5.3
In this lesson we learn how to apply the transformations we learned earlier in the course to the periodic functions of Sine, and Cosine. In this lesson specifically we will be predominantly looking at the factors that affect the y values - vertical stretch/compressions, and vertical translations.

Formative 11
This is a quick assessment of the skills from lesson 5.2 and 5.3. Can students graph the parent functions of Sine and Cosine as well as applying the transformations from Lesson 5.3.
Blank Formative
Lesson 5.4
In this lesson we continue to transform the periodic functions of Sine and Cosine by looking at the remaining transformations we have studied before. Specifically the transformations that affect the x components of the graph. This includes the horizontal stretch/compression, and horizontal translations (phase shifts). Students are reminded that the
“k-value” must be removed from the variable in-order to properly identify what the horizontal stretch or compression is.

Lesson 5.5
In this lesson, students will be able to combine all transformations, as we have done in the past, and apply them to the periodic functions of Sine and Cosine. Students are expected to be able to describe details of the graph including information on the equation of the axis, amplitude, period, maximum and minimum, and the domain and range.

Lesson 5.6
In this lesson we build upon the skills from previous lessons in transformations of periodic functions, to model word problems. Additionally, we learn how to work with a periodic function to isolate for a variable of interest.
